Ups and Downs

This week like most weeks has had it's fair share of ups and downs. The up's included getting in

~all of my training...

~sticking to my healthy GF diet....

~getting a surprise care package from my dear friend Kim...
(the OFFICIAL Ballou Skies PB YAY!) Click the link to get your very own PB and to help progress research for Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy :)
Triathlete friends are the B-E-S-T!

~starting to feel stronger throughout my training

~Capping the oil spill..... (fingers crossed).......

~lastly having the willpower to turn down "patient goodies" at wo
rk. (When you think physical therapy you think-healthy-fit-nutritious.... As patients start to reap the benefits of PT, they try to reward you by bringing in donuts, cookies, brownies, etc. Don't get me wrong-it's a nice gesture but wow talk about self-disicpline. Thankfully I work with abunch of guys who will devour anything!)

The downs included the usual lack of sleep, lots of early mornings, lack of Scott time, and struggling to fit workouts and life all in on the same day. Talk about planning.....

Anyway hope everyone is ready for the weekend. I know I sure am. I'll leave you with this:

Flex the Helo Pilot:

  1. Good for you! I know the organization and scheduling is tough don't forget to schedule some down time:)
holidays are the worst for the treats! Love our patients/ residents but holy sugar and butter!

  2. Hope the next week is better. That is such a cute photo!

  3. The opportunistic eating will definitely get you! Good job on staying the course.

  4. YUM on the peanutbutter!!!

It was awesome to hear about them capping the oil - but we still have a huge ass mess out there to clean up. I have a feeling this is far from over :(

  5. Congrats on the great training! You are superworman!

  6. A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour. ............................................................

  7. oh man you are brave on the gf- love to do it partially but 100% would be tough!!! I've sucked at saying no to patient goodies these past few weeks!!! and one even brought in a whole fruit platter and I still ate her cookies instead :( hang in there with interning and training, its a lot but you can do it!!!! the race is coming so fast now. btw- I loved augusta last year, great race. SUPER fast swim. I would go for it!!

  8. I love the doggie picture! Glad to hear training is going well and you are sticking to the GF diet. Turning down donuts and brownies is tough!

  9. 人生中最好的禮物就是屬於自己的一部份..................................................

  10. Glad you like your PB!! Hope you like the CD too! Miss you tons and hope the ups are much more and the downs aren't too many! I hear you though.. Guess who's going to be IM training too :) So, that will make two of us on the early morning schedule! You can do it!!
