Athletically
After being a life long runner from the Junior Olympic to the Collegiate levels, I was ready for a new challenge. I took the plunge into triathlons in 2006. My transition was slow, painful, and sometimes downright ugly. After a few years of solid short course racing, I eventually had the nerve to try a 70.3. The next logical progression ensued... Hello Ironman! And 3-Ironmans, 8-70.3s, and countless other olympic/sprint races later... here I am! I'm no pro, but some of my favorite highlights include: coming back after a pelvic ORIF to complete 3 IMs, qualifying for the Duathlon WC's, and qualifying for the AG National Championships for the past 5 years.
Professionally
I'm an orthopedic physical therapist currently located in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 after completing a year long internship at Orthopedic and Sports Therapy of Kenner. I've been practicing orthopedics and sports therapy ever since and have gained special training as an Active Release and Graston provider. As an orthopedic PT, I specialize in treating endurance athletes (runners/triathletes), endurance mobility, fixing CrossFitters, managing the care for medically complex athletes, injury prevention, footwear recommendations, and ACL tear prevention. As a life long athlete myself, I find it easy to relate to the weekend warriors to the seasoned pros. Looking for a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Jacksonville or have question?
