Taking the Plunge: Ironman Florida

It's official. As most of you have already heard, Sunday I did something crazy. I signed up for my first Ironman. Before Sunday, I was 100% sure and confident about what I was getting myself into. Around noon Sunday however, my mental state deteriorated quickly. A couple minutes after the hour, I called Scott and went through the pros and cons. I could tell he was annoyed with my indecisiveness. I hung of the phone quickly and knew what I had to do. It was time.

I've been waiting for this for awhile and felt a peace about it. I put my big girl pants on (like Kim would say) and made the commitment. Something I'm not so good at always doing...Although the plate in my pelvis is already broken, I'm ignoring the what-if's and the negatives. They will always be there. That is life~

I'm ready. Ready to commit..... ready to embrace.... and ready to face this new challenge: The Ironman. (ahhh it gives me shivers!)

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

  5. How cool that we are both doing our first there? These past few days I've been wavering between "what the hell did I get myself into" and "I'm gonna kick butt" Time will tell...
