Today I was determined to embrace the cold weather and get my long run in. Luckily I survived....
When does this cold weather go away? I keep thinking it's going to get warmer... it's going to get warmer...think positive thoughts! But it's not working!!!!!
To combat the elements I had a two later theme going on: besides sox I had two layers of everything else. I was not messing around. Although the warming up process took a lot longer than I would have liked, it was a long and relaxing run. Today was my longest run of the season and I was feeling pretty strong despite my last week of illness. I have no complaints, except for my gel freezing after the first hour.... Yes- it is THAT cold!
But overall my health is almost 100% and this week I only have one exam.... Finally I will be back on my full training schedule. And thank my lucky stars because next week is spring break :) I'm headed south to fl for a couple days to see the hubby and then all the way out west to SLC Utah to shred with my lil sis and get some altitude training in. So many good things to look forward to!

Cmon Heidi! It wasn't that cold. I actually got in 3.5 hours outside on the bike this past Saturday. :)
