summer break

Now that my semester is over I get to spend two whole weeks with my hubby in fl. Although he will be flying a lot and crazy busy it will be nice to be home sweet home.

I have no idea at this point what I'm going to do with myself. Im still trying to chill out and slow down...Besides helping Scott learn emergency procedures and making him fancy dinners, I'm thinking about taking some gourmet cooking classes or maybe learning how to crochet beanies??

I'm trying to expand my horizons beyond pt school and running, biking, and swimming. I'm also looking forward to maybe some open ocean swims as I can start real swimming next week with actual kicking. Maybe I'll even plunge into some new books as suggested by marit c-l :) I'll let you know how it works out!

  1. Reading is great...Reading at the beach is better...reading at the beach after doing some swimming is FANTASTIC! :) "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet and the sequel "World Without End" were really fantastic. IF you like architecture and history and enjoyed POE, "Cathedral by the Sea" is also really great (can't think of the author off hand, sorry)... I'm also a Jane Austin fan... "Pride and Prejudice" is my favorite... If you like mysteries - Sue Grafton's novels are great. "A" is for Alibi, "B" is for burglar...about a kick-butt detective named Kinsey Milhone. AND, I'm always a sucker for Harry Potter. No matter how many times I've read the series, I always learn something new.

    Enjoy!
